The WORMANBY herd is one of the best Holstein herds in Europe currently with 75 Excellent, 112 Very Goods of which 35 are Very Good milking heifers with just over 200 animals milking.  Winning the Premier Herd title in 2015 was a major highlight and since then several Wormanby animals have won classes at both UK Dairy Expo & UK Dairy Day.   The herd is averaging 12112kgs 4.1% butterfat 3.25% protein and only moved to three times milking in July this year.  Most of the in-calf heifers are coming to female sexed sires.  The pedigree power on offer is exceptional with most of the dams classified either Excellent or Very Good.  This sale features all their top cow families including: MAHALA, FLO, ADEEN, RED ROSE, PRELUDE SPOTTIE, DELLIA, MARY, FRAN, GLORIETTE, LUSTRE, TWAIN & PR BARBIE.  The herd icon is Bottle Mahala EX95 a winner at Expo and two granddaughters sell from this amazing cow by Chief & Derulo.  The BEST sires feature with daughters selling by: STANTONS CHIEF, WOODCREST KING DOC, LINDENRIGHT APPS, FARNEAR DELTA-LAMBDA, COL DG CRUSHTIME, ALL.NURE SECRETARIAT & OH-RIVER-SYC CRUSHABULL.  This is an amazing group of heifers that can shape the future of your breeding programme.  The sale will be Live Streamed with Live Bidding available.

Herd Health:
The milking herd is vaccinated for IBR, BVD & Lepto.  The In-calf heifers and heifers born in 2019 are vaccinated for BVD & Lepto.  All heifers born from 2019 onwards are BVD Tag Tested.  The herd is tested each quarter for Johnes and is clear of the disease.  The farm is situated in a four year TB testing area and there has never been a TB case within the herd, the last herd test was January 2020.
