CHEESE & YOGHURT MAKING – by Shepherd Agri

Shepherd Agri will launch their first high quality small scale dairy equipment.  You will see a cheese and yoghurt making demo from international dairyman Giacomo Zambelli from Duecinox.

A demonstration of this type is a first for Borderway UK Dairy Expo, and the four years since inception the event has always strived to be at the forefront of the dairy technology industry. Duecinox is an Italian dairy engineering company based at the centre of the Po Valley, in the heart of the Parmigiano Reggiano country renowned for its cheese making.  Shepherd Agri is the only company in the UK to sell the Duecinox products.

Products for sale by the company include a manual milk pasteuriser, a yoghurt maker, a butter churn, cheese vats and an ice-cream maker.  The mini-dairy range for sale by the company is perfect for people wanting to try their hand at making dairy products.

Here Graham Shepherd CEO of SHEPHERD AGRI comments further:
“Dairy farmers in recent times are increasingly looking for different ways to add value to their existing dairy enterprises.  What we will be showcasing is small-scale dairy equipment which is an excellent way to get the first wrung on the ladder to diversification.  We have exhibited at Dairy Expo since it began, and have always found this event to be at the forefront of the dairy industry.  This is one of the main reasons we have decided to launch our new products here, it gives us the perfect platform with the UK dairy industry.”

On the day itself Giacomo Zambelli will be demonstrating the use of a cheese cooking vat and a yoghurt machine.  With this equipment he will make two cheeses, Primo Sale style & Ricotta, and yoghurt.  It is testament to the ease of the equipment that both can be produced on the day of the Expo.

    Timetable of Demonstrations:
    11.30am  and  2.00pm
