On Friday 5th October, Harrison & Hetherington held their monthly sale of Beef Breeding cattle.
A very mixed show of cows and heifers with calves at foot or in-calf were offered to a large ring side of buyers, however trade for all classes was steady.
Messrs Johnson, West Wharmley sold a British Blue heifer and calf for £2200. Messrs Stevenson & Sons, Lower Langshaw sold a Limousin cross heifer and calf for £2200, and to £2000 for a Limousin cow and calf.
Messrs Dale, Airds of Balcary run of in-calf cows topped at 31180 for a Limousin cross cow.
