Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 13th February Harrison & Hetherington Limited held their weekly sale of young calves with an entry of 229 forward.  All classes of calves were dearer on the week with young beef bred bulls especially in demand.  Many more young calves could have been sold at the vendor’s advantage.  A top price of £420 was achieved on two occasions both times for British Blue bulls,  firstly from Messrs Wood, Groundy Croft, Drigg and secondly from Messrs Martin, Tempest Tower, Little Orton.  Black and whites were again in demand with buyers for all classes.
