Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 17th July, Harrison & Hetherington Limited held their weekly sale of young calves.  An increased  show of 296 calves were forward with a large selection of well reared calves on offer.  With a large ringside of buyers ensured a good trade for the strongest calves.  Young plainer Continental calves would be dearer on the week.  Top price of £490 was a strong for a British Blue from Messrs Threlkeld, Ladywell, Ecclefechan.  Strong Black and whites continue to be good to sell although younger calves were harder to cash.
