Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 7th August, Harrison & Hetherington Limited held their weekly sale of young calves.  A smaller show of 215 were forward with a plainer show on offer.  The strongest continental calves were easier on the week.  A top price of £390 was achieved on two occasions, firstly for a Limousin bull from Messrs Preston ,Wed Holme House, Kirkbride,  Wigton and secondly from Messrs Carlyle, Slealands Burn, Longtown with a Limousin  heifer.   Strong black and whites continue to be good to sell topping at £145 for two from Messrs Elwen, Netherfield, Irthington.
