Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 25th September, Harrison & Hetherington Limited held their weekly sale of young calves. A larger show of 365 were forward with calves continue to be hard to sell.  A large ring side of 39 active buyers were reluctant to give prices seen in previous years.  Top price was for two strong British Blue bulls from Messrs Elwen, Netherfield Farm, Irthington, Carlisle selling for £410.   Less buyers were forward for black and whites with younger calves significantly cheaper on the week.
