Borderway Calf Sale

11th July 2018

On Wednesday 11th July Harrison & Hetherington Limited held their weekly sale of young calves with a smaller show of 247 forward.  All beef bred calves were cheaper on the week with fewer buyers in attendance due to the weather conditions affecting buyers confidence.  Top price came from an excellent run of calves from Messrs Fisher, Smalmstown, Longtown which topped at £500 or a strong British Blue bull.  Black and whites would be a similar trade to previous weeks with the better younger calves selling well.
