Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 1st August Harrison & Hetherington Limited held their weekly sale of young calves with a larger show of 321 forward. Calves continue to be hard to cash with buyers in a cautious mood due to the uncertainly on winter fodder prices.  Top price on the day was £465 for a strong British Blue bull from Messrs Fisher, Smalmstown, Longtown.  A plainer show of black and whites were similar trade to previous weeks.
