Borderway Calf Sale

22nd August 2018

On Wednesday 22nd August Harrison & Hetherington Limited held their weekly sale of young calves with a larger show of 288 forward.  The top end of the beef bred bull calves continue to be good to sell, although strong heifers would be easier on the week.  Top price came from a fantastic run of suckler bred bucket reared calves from Messrs Dale, Airds of Balcary, Castle Douglas which topped at £540 for a Charolais bull.  Strong black and whites were sharper on the week although younger plainer calves continue to be harder to sell.
