Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 10th October Harrison & Hetherington Limited held their weekly sale of young calves with a larger entry of 291 forward.

A plainer show of calves were of offer and sold easier on the week, with only the strongest well reared calves in high demand. Top price came from a fantastic run of British Blue calves from Messrs Fisher, Smalmstown, Longtown which topped at £480 for a bull calf. Black and white calves sold cheaper on the week, selling to a top of £175 for a Holstein Friesian also from Messrs Fisher, Smalmstown.
