Borderway Store and Breeding Sheep Sale

On Monday 7th January Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held their first store sheep sale of the year.  An excellent show of 437 quality hoggs sold to a keen ringside of buyers where the sale had a great average of £62.40.  Topping todays sale at £84 was a fantastic pen of 8 Dutch Texels consigned by J Oliver & Son, Walton Woodhead.  Quality hoggs continue to sell extremely well with many stores achieving over £80.  More could have been sold to the active bidders.

A small consignment of 18 in lamb Mule ewes from the late Mr D Grindal, Greenhills, Skelton sold for £110.
