On Monday 21st September at Borderway, Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of store and breeding sheep.
STORE SHEEP – A very mixed show of 955 store sheep which were present at this week’s sale, with plenty of customers interested in all classes of lambs.
Top price of the day was for a tremendous pen of Texel lambs from M/s Martindale of High Dubwath securing the hourable price of £62.50. Many Fell bred lambs were presented with plenty of demand throughout the sale.

BREEDING SHEEP – Following the sale of store sheep was over 300 breeding sheep, seeing a lot of demand throughout the sale, with Mule Shearlings topping at £130 for a pen 10 from M/s Martindale of High Dubwath, Kirklinton.
The breeding sale also involved the dispersal sale from M/s Vasey, Holme House, these genuine stock ewes peaked at £117 for two shear Greyfaced ewes, followed by fully correct Greyfaced ewes making £88 a head.
