Borderway Store and Weaned Cattle Sale

Harrison & Hetherington had forward 1139 head of cattle at their weekly Wednesday sale comprising of 747 Catalogued Store Cattle, un-entered Store Bulls and Stirks, 331 Calves together with 61 Dairy Cattle which included 51 in the Border and Lakeland Club sale.

STORE CATTLE – A good catalogued entry of 586 was entered for the weekly store sale with trade slightly dearer on the week.  Topping the sale at £1325 was a Simmental bullock consigned by JH & RM Lloyd, Fishergill, Aikton, Wigton.  In the heifer section Mr R Ashley, Chapel Hill, Crackenthorpe, Appleby topped at £1185 for a Limousin heifer.  Many more could have been sold to satisfy demand.
