Borderway Store & Breeding Sheep Sale

At Borderway Mart on Monday 1st May, Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of breeding sheep.

A larger run of sheep were presented to a very strong ringside of buyers.  Trade throughout was mixed with better types of outfits in strong demand, whilst lesser quality sorts were easier in price.

Top price of the day was £89 per head for a pen of Texel x hoggs with Beltex lambs at foot shown by Mr Jack Cartmel of Raise Lodge, Wigton.
