At Borderway Mart on Monday 29th January, Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of store and breeding sheep.
The weekly sale of store sheep saw a great run of sheep forward and larger demand on the week due to the climbing prime trade. The ring side saw a large demand and ensured all hoggs were sold to the vendor’s advantage.
Top price of the day was a tremendous pen of Texel’s from M/s Scott. Bolton Hall, Wigton selling the top price of the day of £84. A good run of 16 Texel x hoggs from Graham Edwards selling to average £80.04 per head. Many other lots also sold beyond the £75 + mark.
