On Monday 24th February Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of store and breeding sheep where trade was once again very good. Sheep continue to be in high demand. Topping today’s sale at £89 was a pen of 24 Mule hoggs from Messrs Gate, Low Houses. Messrs Lamb, Burns Farm sold Swaledales to £68 and Herdwicks to £71. A smaller show of breeding sheep sold up to £147 for a pen of Texel ewes from Messrs Robinson, Pelutho Park.Leading prices per head:
