On Monday 13th January Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of store sheep which saw a larger show forward on the week with a packed ringside from start to finish. Trade throughout saw sheep very good to sell with the top price of the day being for a pen of Texel cross from Messrs Lamb, High Troweir, Girvan securing £104 with the run of 57 Texel cross and Cheviot mule lambs averaging at a very respectable £88.46 per head.
Messrs Mounsey, Ashfield, Carlisle once again consigned a tremendous run of Texel cross and Millennium Bleu Hoggs seeing their run of 40 selling to average £89.56 per head.
Many more store sheep are required for the climbing demand and are very easily sold.
