On Monday 31st August Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of store lambs. A larger show forward with a slightly quieter ringside of buyers due to the fine spell of weather. Despite the quieter ring trade was just as sharp as ever. Top price of the day was for a pair of Texel lambs from Messrs Park, Cowranside who topped the sale at £89 per head. All classes of sheep proved very well bid for seeing Mules topping at £74.50 for a pen of 54 from Messrs Lamb, Burns Farm, Keswick. Many more store sheep are required on a weekly basis. Please note store sheep sale is moving to 12.30pm from Monday 7th September.
