A smaller show of store sheep were forward due to the knock on effect of the poor weather over the weekend. Trade proved to be sharper than last week throughout with a quieter ring side of buyers but demand was slightly stronger. Top price on the day was paid for a pen of Beltex x lambs from Messrs Wood, Well Head, Dean, Workington who topped the sale once again at £130. Trade for mules was also better on the week with a tremendous pen from Messrs Lamb, Burns Farm, Keswick topping the mule section at £74 and a pen of 40 from the same good home also selling to £69.50.
