Borderway Store Sheep Sale

2nd November 2020

On Monday 2nd November Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of store sheep with another weathered show forward.  Despite this, sheep were keenly bid for once again but to a quieter ringside of buyers.  Strong uniformed pens of sheep were good to sell with pens of Texel cross lambs selling between £74-£78 regularly.

Topping the day was a pen of five Texels from Liam Wannop, School Farm, selling for £84 a head.  Closely behind at £83 was Robert Bell, 59 Main Street, Cockermouth again with Texels.  Hill bred lambs sold well with Swaledales selling to £56.50 from Messrs Moscrop, Border Rigg, Bewcastle and Herdwicks to £58 from John Clark, Penny Hill Park, Penrith.
