Borderway Store Sheep Sale

On Monday 9th November Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of store sheep. Trade throughout the day was much dearer on the week with all sheep selling above vendors expectations and averaging out at £77.10. Top price of the day was paid for a pair of Texel x lambs from Messrs Story, Hobbiesburn, Longtown who peaked the sale at £110 with following pens selling to £102(x2) and £100 and the run of 37 averaging £95.95. All sheep were much dearer on the week with mules averaging over £71. Many more sheep are required on a weekly basis both on farm and in the market.
