Borderway Weekly Sale of Calves

31st July 2019

On Wednesday 31st July, Harrison & Hetherington Limited held their weekly sale of young calves with a larger show of 332 forward.  A mixed show of calves saw the best strong Continental calves in high demand, however younger calves and native heifers would be cheaper on the week.  Top price was £570 for a Pure British Blue heifer from Messrs Pattinson, Temon Farm, Low Row, Brampton.  Strong black and whites continue to be a fantastic trade, however younger plainer calves were harder to sell.
