Borderway Weekly Sale of Calves

On Wednesday 14th August, Harrison & Hetherington Limited held their weekly sale of young calves.  A larger entry of 269 were forward with a large ring side of buyers ensured all classes of calves were sharper on the week.  Top price came from Messrs Fisher, Smalmstown Farm, Longtown at £460 for a strong British Blue Bull.  Well grown black and white calves continue to be good to sell topping at £225 for a Norwegian Red from Messrs Messenger, The Howes, Calthwaite
