Borderway Weekly Sale of Calves

On Wednesday 30th October Harrison & Hetherington Limited held their weekly sale of calves with a smaller show of 243 forward.  Younger beef bred bull calves were sharper on the week especially for native bred calves.  A top price of £400 was achieved on three occasions firstly from Messrs Ireland, Morley Hill for a strong suckler bred British Blue heifer and secondly on two occasions for strong British Blue bulls from Messrs Elwen, Netherfield.  Less black and whites were forward with all calves being slightly dearer on the week.
