Borderway Weekly Sale of Calves

On Wednesday 4th April Harrison & Hetherington Limited had another good entry of 250 calves forward.  The best quality calves continue to be a fantastic trade,  however plainer heifer beef bred calves were back on the week.  Top price came from a terrific run of 8 British Blue calves from Messrs Wilson, Evening Hill Farm, Thursby which averaged £528.75 and topped at £600 for a bull.  Black and whites continue to being great demand with strong weaned calves dearer than previous weeks.
