At Borderway Mart, Carlisle on Monday 26th August Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of Store and Breeding sheep.
Due to the bank holiday and the great weather, a smaller number of both sheep and buyers were forward, which meant trade was less on the week.
Topping the trade at £76 was a pen of nine Beltex cross lambs from Messrs Hodgson, Woodend Farm, Egremont.
A tremendous consignment of Mule wethers were forward from Messrs Lamb, Burns Farm, St Johns In The Vale, seeing an excellent pen of fifty five selling to £57 per head.
