Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their fortnightly sale of store sheep on Tuesday when a wonderful entry of 1,152 lambs were on offer.
Topping the sale at £80 were a pen pf 12 Dutch Texel x lambs from Messrs Swift, Dry Howe, Selside.
Another pen of eight Beltex cross lambs sold to £71 from Messrs Bousfield, Bollam Terrace, Kirkby Stephen.
Mule lambs sold to £56 for a pen of 40 from Messrs Pedley, Yore House, Sedbergh.
Another good show of store lambs here at Kirkby Stephen sold to a packed ringside of potential buyers once again, with trade being good for all classes, especially when taking in to account the recent decline in prime lamb returns.
The next sale of store lambs at Kirkby Stephen will be on Tuesday 17th September, entries for the catalogue close Tuesday 10th September.
