On Wednesday 28th August 2019, Harrison & Hetherington held their special show & sale of Store lambs within Lazonby Auction. Another fantastic turnout of 2154 head were forward to a large company of buyers. Strong sorts met a fabulous trade however longer term lambs saw a more limited pricing structure.
The pre-sale show was expertly handled by Paul & Jayne Inman, Kilnknowe who awarded the Championship rosette to GR & SM Makepeace, Black House, Alston who put forward a great pen of Texel cross lambs which later sold at £72 to the judges.
The Reserve rosette was awarded to the 2nd prize Texel cross lambs from M/s W E Lee, Lintley Farm, Slaggyford. This pen sold at £74/head.
The Joe Armstrong Memorial trophy for the best pen of Mule Lambs was awarded to M/s Smith, Parson Shields, Slaggyford which sold at £60/head.
Topping the sale at £95 was an exceptional pen of Texel cross lambs from M/s Makepeace, Black House.
Mules sold to £65 for a fantastic pen for 1st time vendor Mr R J Marrs, Manor Farm, Wigton.
