Lazonby Store Lamb Sale

On Thursday 22nd October Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held its fortnightly sale of store lambs within Lazonby Mart.

A good show of 1126 was presented with more than half the sale being hill bred lambs. Topping the trade was a pair of Texel lambs from Lazonby Estates, selling to £102. Mules were in strong demand, with top price being £74.50 for a pen from Messrs Bell, The Breaks.

One of the highlights of the day was a pen of 51 from Messrs Lord, The Bog for £71 per life. Swaledale lambs peaked at £48.50 for a pen of 20 from SJ & JM Brown, Bow Hall.

He next Store lambs sale to be held at Lazonby Mart will take place on Thursday 5th November.
