Lockerbie Show & Sale of North Country Cheviot Park Rams

At the Annual Show & Sale of North Country Cheviot Park Rams at Lockerbie there was a superb attendance from Shetland to Devon resulting in a very high clearance and a record average of £987.53.

The judge for the day was the breed President Mr W Thomson of Hownam Grange who awarded the championship to Mr WD Allen, Humbleheugh with an Allanshaws Nutmeg sired ram who sold for £4000 to CA & J Watmore, Low Farnham.

2nd prize went to Mr D Matthewson, Soutra Mains with a classy ram which caught the eye of Messrs Westalls, Boutsworth End, Halifax at £2800. 3rd prize went to Messrs G Davies and Sons, North Synton, Selkirk which sold at £2800 to Messrs W & J Thomson, Hownam Grange.

Top price of the day went to Messrs Davies, North Synton who sold a ram to £5000 purchased by Philiphaugh Estates and another to £4500 this time bought by Messrs Runciman, Allanshaws.
