Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Middleton-in-Teesdale mart held their Special Show and Sale of Store Cattle, Breeding Cattle along with Breeding Sheep and Implements.
Fantastic entry of 130 store bullocks and heifers were forward and met by a huge ringside of buyers resulting in a wonderful trade throughout. The day began in fantastic sprits with the early morning judging being undertaken by Mr Richard Walton, County Durham who did a fantastic job. The overall championship went to a Limousin Bullock from Messrs White, Rigg Farm which went on to achieve the top price of the day of £1360 to Mr Harryman, Pickering. This animal also took the prize kindly donated by Michael Cannon for Best animal from Wemmergill Estates. In reserve again from Messrs White was another wonderful bullock again selling to Messrs Harryman for the total of £1280. Topping the heifers was a sensational Limousin from Mr Dargue, Forrest in Tessdale making a grand total of £1000.

A great show of cattle were forward and met a trade beyond expectations and a lot more could have been sold to the vendors advantage.

Breeding Cattle A show of superb cows and calves were present.
Headlining was the dispersal on behalf of Barry & Jackie Meeson, Bowes Close was a fine example of a British Blue cow with her steer calf at foot selling for £2950 to Messrs Callender, Stockton.
A wonderful show of cows and calves were forward averaging well over £1600 for all outfits with a very good clearance rate.
