Middleton In Teesdale Store Cattle Sale

On the Tuesday 21st January, Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held it’s opening sale of Store cattle within Middleton-in-Teesdale mart.  A total entry of 97 store bullocks and heifers were forward, the new year began with a bang which saw all classes of stores being keenly bid for.  Topping the sale was a Limousin heifer from Messrs JE&AJ Mitchell, Parrick House Farm selling a for £965.  Bullocks were keenly bid for with smaller, shapier sorts being best to sell.  Topping the bullocks was a Limousin, again from Messrs JE & AJ Mitchell, Parrick House Farm selling to £955.

With new buyers present the sales are becoming renowned for high quality with most cattle being aged between 7-9 months.
