At Borderway Mart, Carlisle on Monday 29th July Harrison & Hetherington held their opening sale of store lambs.
A strong entry of a mixed quality was forward to a very busy ringside of buyers. The sale averaged £59.15, for all classes.
The pre sale show was capably judged by Mr Peter McCune, Farewell Grange, and he awarded the Champion pen to Mr Simon Dalton, Greenside Keep Cottages for his pen of Beltex lambs which later sold to £80 per life.
The sale topped at £81 for a tremendous pair of Charollais cross lambs from David Mattinson, Cragg Farm, Cockermouth.
