Harrison and Hetherington had 950 acres available to let by auction, with trade meeting unprecedented levels. With more buyers seen round the ringside than in recent years, prices were generally above vendor’s expectations and the highest average per acre seen in 5 years.
Good grass parks with reasonable handling facilities and a stocks person on site were obviously the most sought after with the best parks up 68% although a third of this grass was eligible to BPS claims. Some smaller lets or rougher ground without handling facilities met a similar trade to recent years across the board.
Overall a good days trading with the average per acre up just over 50% on last year, with the above information taken into account.
