Twilight Texel Sale

30th November 2018

Topping Friday’s Twilight Texel sale at 10,000gns was a gimmer from Robert Bennett’s Plasucha flock, adding to a highly successful year for the flock.

Leading the trade was BFE1707085, an ET bred daughter of Eden Valley Wiz Kid out of a dam by Garngour Upperclass and going back to Skidaw Magic. She is ET sister to the 18,000gns gimmer from this year’s Scottish National Sale, Lanark, and sold with an index of 372 and in-lamb to Plasucha All Star, sire of the 32,000gns Plasucha Big Gun. Buying this one were Donald and Sarah MacPherson, Berwick-Upon-Tweed.

A brace of 2000gns sales followed that, with both bids at this level coming for gimmers from the Plasucha pen. First at this price was BFE1707018, an Eden Valley Wiz Kid daughter out of a dam by Fairywater Valiant and going back to Ettrick No Limits. She sold with an index of 367 and in-lamb to Donrho Aristocrat. She found a new home in Wick, Caithness, with Messrs Sinclair.
