Harrison & Hetherington is very proud to be conducting the Christmas Crackers sale of prime ewes and rams at award-winning family-run Cannon Hall Farm in the Pennine foothills of Yorkshire on Saturday 9th November.
Starting at 3.00pm on the farm near Barnsley and open to online bidding via Marteye, the Cannon Hall Farm Christmas Crackers sale will offer bidders the chance to snap up a prime selection of quality stock, including:
The sale’s featured Dutch Spotted sheep come from premium bloodlines, including descendants of the 16,000gns Cannonhall Faye sold at Carlisle in 2023 and the 10,000gns Cannonhall Florance sold at Welshpool.
As part of the sale two rams will be sold in support of vital agricultural charities and when costs are covered, H&H will also donate any profits. The proceeds will be split equally between the Len’s Light campaign in memory of Len Eadon to raise national awareness of mental health issues in the rural community and support charities tackling these issues, and the RABI, whose tireless work uplifting and supporting farming people through practical, financial and emotional assistance touches the lives of thousands of people every year.
Harrison and Hetherington Pedigree Manager and Senior Auctioneer, James Little, is expecting a packed sale and keen bidding at Cannon Hall. “The quality of the stock makes this a perfect opportunity for breeders and farmers to tap into premium genetics to improve their flocks, and we’re confident our online bidding facility will attract keen attention from buyers from far beyond the farmyard at Cannon Hall. I am also sure that everyone involved will appreciate the support for farming charities, and I fully expect the bidding for the two rams to reflect the heartfelt gratitude we know exists throughout the farming community for the wonderful work of the RABI and Len’s Light.”
Sheep can be viewed on Friday 8th November by appointment with Harrison & Hetherington, and prospective bidders who register early will receive free entry to Cannon Hall Farm on the day of the sale.
