St Boswells Sale of Shearling Gimmers, Ewe Lambs & Store Lambs

Harrison and Hetherington held their Annual Show and Sale of Gimmers at St Boswells Mart.  Trade saw the expected rise on the year, selling to strong rates.

Thursday 2nd September  - SALE OF EWE LAMBS AND STORE LAMBS

On the second sale of Breeding Sheep, an outstanding show of Ewe Lambs and Feeding Lambs saw records smashed in many sections.

420 Suffolk.x Half Bred Ewe Lambs.  Averaged £186 (+£61)          Judge: Mr R.Bailes, Cole Hill

With less numbers forward, trade was simply on fire.

Store Lambs followed the buoyant trade set by the Breeding Sheep with all types keenly contested for from bidders covering the length and breadth of the country.  Topping at £119 for a stylish pen of Beltex.x from Attonburn.
