Tercrosset Sale

On Friday 27th August 2021 Harrison & Hetherington held the annual production sale from the Tercrosset flock on behalf of the Whiteford family, Tercrosset, Brampton

A large crowd of both new and repeat customers gathered and the quality of sheep presented before them certainly didn’t disappoint with James and his team putting on another breath-taking show.

Females were in big demand with 158 shearling gimmers selling to average a fabulous £401 per head with many seeing 500gns and beyond selling to a top of 580gns for a pens of 3 purchased by both Mr L Skelton, Low House, Dearham and Sam Booth, Church View, Melton Mowbray and for a pen of 2 by Mr T Nixon, Longlea, Wark             

The 153 ewe lambs were described by James as “the best run he had brought forward for sale” these sold to average £201 and saw a leading price of 300gns this was paid for a pen of 3 lambs which sold to DE & DM Roberts, Cilwr U Chaf, Llandeilo and for a pen of 2 lambs by MM & R Morris, Maestanydwyden, Penybont.

A powerful run of tups were keenly bid for seeing the 142 head sell to average £949.66 topping the sale was lot 3006 a truly exceptional Texel shearling which sold at 4500gns, he now calls Devon his home, travelling back with Messrs Moore, Holsworthy.
