Borderway Store & Breeding Sheep Sale

On Monday 13^th September Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of store & breeding sheep.  A large show forward once again saw trade stickier throughout and the stronger end of lambs a lot harder to sell on the week. Quality lambs were still very well bid for with Messrs Wood, Well Head, Dean topping the sale at £120 for a pen of 12 Beltex with his following pen of 19 selling for a very respectably £115. The smallest and worst lambs once again sold very well.

The first Monday sale of breeding sheep also took place seeing plenty buyers for all breeds and qualities. The top price was set at £195 for a pen of 5 Texel x shearling gimmers from Messrs Underwood, Longtown.
