Lazonby Store Lambs

On Thursday 16^th September at Lazonby Mart, Harrison & Hetherington held their fortnightly sale of 2000 store lambs. Another good show was presented with an ever growing ringside of buyers with customers travelling from all over the country.  Stronger lambs continued at high rates with smaller long-term lambs seeing a real rise on the fortnight.

Topping the sale was a Texel wether from Mr Kallum Hunt, Ivegill selling for £101. Beltex lambs sold to £99.50 from the same farming. Greyfaced sheep were once again good to sell with 909 averaging out at £77.50. Top price came for a pen of 18 selling for £81.50 from Messrs Todd, Eden Park Renwick. A sale highlight came from Messrs Bell, The Breaks selling 101 mules to the price of £79. Suffolks topped at £90 for a pen of 13 from Messrs Pickthall, The Mains.
