NSA Ram Sales - Blue Texel

The Ladies lead the way at Monday’s NSA Builth Wells Sale.

Burnett and Lloyd top the trade with their ewe lamb lot 1135 STONYCROFT FIONA, sired by Hackney Young Pretender out of Stonycroft Babes, she sold for 2000gns to Dave Roberts, Shrewsbury for his Boyo Flock.

Rhys Cooke sold the 1st Prize Shearling Ewe, Female Champion and Overall Champion lot 1127 NANTYDERRI EMERALD(ET) a substitute to the Judge Andrew Bishop for 1800gns. Emerald is sired by Derg Churchill and out of Rookie Blues Annie.

Rams peaked at 900gns for a ram lamb from Chris Davies, lot 1171 BEACONSVIEW FABIO, Fabio stood 3rd in his class at the pre sale show. Sired by a homebred ram Beaconsview de Niro out of Hombred ewe Beaconsview Cypress he sold to WE Evans, Carmel.

Male Champion, 1st Prize Shearling ram lot 1147 NANTYDERRI ERROL (ET) also from Rhys Cooke went on to sell at 850gns. Sired by Derg Churchill out of Cleenagh Big Bird he goes to Caersws to join Michael & Emma Davies Severn View Flock.

An extremely strong female trade, with significant price increases since the NSA 2019 Sale, Shearling Ewes averages have increased by £324.72 and Ewe Lambs showing an average increase of £494.91.
