Hunters Ram Lamb Reigns Supreme at The ‘Blue Blinders’ Blue Texel Show & Sale.

HUNTERS FERNANDES (lot 1904) a substitute ram from Stuart Hunter & Family took the premium price of the day selling for 4500gns to new breeders Messrs Blenkhorn, Driffield, East Yorkshire.

Fernandes sired by Eastbury Cut & Run and out of Hunters Doris has a substantial pedigree, he stood 1st in a very strong Ram Lamb Class, then went on to take Male Champion & Overall Champion under the expert eye of judge Issy Hartley (Pendle Flock) in the Pre-Sale Show.

Females were a strong trade throughout with excellent clearance and they peaked at a very respectable 2500gns for a shearling ewe from William Linton, FALKLANDS FLK/20/02562, sired by Hunters Chancer out of a Beili Blues sired homebred ewe, she sold to Cormack & McDowell (C.J’s Flock).

David & Jennifer Alexander achieved 1800gns for their 1st Prize Shearling Ewe and Reserve Female Champion MILLSIDE DJA/20/02345, sired by Lyles Django and out of a homebred ewe she heads to Messrs Wattie, Aberdeen.

Worth the long drive from Norfolk for Paul Barwood & Anita Padfield when Ewe Lambs topped at 1600gns, for their 1st Prize Ewe Lamb, Female Champion and Reserve Overall Champion BLUE DIAMOND FIRST CLASS (Lot 833), sired by Turbo Blue RJR/19/03858 out of Turbo Blue RJR/17/03346, she sold to the Judge, Issy Hartley (Pendle Flock)
