Borderway Store lambs and Breediing Rams

On Monday 11^th October Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of store lambs and breeding ram sale.

STORE SHEEP: Yet another large show of store lambs were forward at the weekly sale, however the larger portion were smaller, leaner lambs still sold well. Topping the sale at £120 was a pen of 10 Texel lambs from Messrs TW & M Bird, Ghyll House Farm, followed by a run of Beltex selling to £115 from Messrs WH & F Wood, Well Head Farm.

RAMS: A nice entry of 80 rams were forward with quality being again easy to sell. Toppin today’s sale at £700 was a Texel x Beltex shearling ram from regular consignor Messrs Toppin, Basco Dyke. Strong Texel rams continue to sell easily in excess of £500. Messrs Hewson, Burgh Head sold Suffolks to a top of £550 for a 2shr with lambs to £480 to two occasions.
