Borderway Ram Sale including the Second Blufaced Leicster Sale

At Borderway Mart, Carlisle on Monday 18^th October Harrison & Hetherington held their Continental breeding ram sale which incorporated the second sale of Bluefaced Leicesters.

In the Bluefaced leicester section topping the sale was a ram lamb from Messrs Wilson, Carrholme selling to £720, with Traditional lambs selling to £580 from Messrs Hewson, Burgh Head.

Female Bluefaced Leicester’s were once again in high demand selling to a top of £300 for a shearling gimmer from Messrs Winter, Brow Top.

Continental rams bidding was very active with regular supporters Messrs Toppin, Basco Dyke selling a Texel shearling for £750. Beltex’s sold to £560 for a shearling from Messrs Shirvington, Woodbank Farm and Suffolk ram lambs to £400 from Messrs Borthwick, Catlins.
