On Monday 18th October Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of store lambs and breeding ewes.
STORE SHEEP: Another quality show of store sheep were forward, with all qualities well bid for, especially the bottom end types. Top priced lamb was a tremendous Texel cross Beltex from Mr Jamie Brownrigg selling to £140 with the consignment from the Croft averaging £101.04 for 23 forward.
Strong runs of Continental lambs sold for £88+ regularly, with Mule wethers topping at £85 for a pen of 18

BREEDING SHEEP: A small show of quality breeding ewes were forward, with a pen of 14 Mule 2shr ewes from Ron & Fran Wilson, Carrholme, Armathwaite selling for a very respectable £180 per head.
