Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 20^th October Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves with another cracking entry of 358 forward.  We held our Autumn show where our Judge Mr Alan Lamont placed an excellent cracking suckler bred Limousin heifer from Messrs Wigham, Hargill House first prize in the heifer section and our Overall Champion selling to £500 to Messrs Ackerley, Milton Mains.  Reserve Champion went to the second prize heifer from Messrs Balmer, Forrest Farm, selling to the British Blue top price of £455 to the Judge.

Top price of the day went Gerrard House Farm, Ltd, Wigton for a British Blue at £525.  Trade continues to hold well with good types of Continental calves doing very well.
