Kirkby Stephen OTM & Cast Cows

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their sale of Cast & OTM Cattle on Monday. 

Topping at £1491.98 was 11 year old Belgian Blue cows 859kg and make 174.5p from Messrs Atkinson, Abbey Park purchased by D Barker. This same home also sold an 8 year old Belgian Blue cow weighing 830kg to make 164.5p totalling £1365.35 also selling to D Barker.

Messrs Sowerby, Terrys Farm sold a 732kg Limousin cow for 203.5p per kg  totalling £1489 selling to J Birkbeck on behalf of Jewitt Meats.

Topping at 205.5p was a Limousin cross cow from Messrs Marston, Easegill Head which was also purchased by Jewitt meats.

All classes of cast cows were another fantastic trade with an overall sale average of 135.76 being achieved.
