On Friday 5th November Harrison & Hetherington held their monthly Beef Breeding cattle.
A good entry of 123 cows and heifers with calves at foot or in calf were presented to a large ringside of buyers ensuring a great trade.
Kexborough Farms, Town Farm run of 20 outstanding ¾ Limousin cows and calves sold to average £2200, with 16 outfits selling over £2000, and topping at £2800, £2700 and £2600.
Messrs Harrison, Low house Farm sold a British Blue cross heifer and calf for £2400, Mess Gammie, Lanark sold a Blonde in calf cow for £1550, Messrs Story, Hilltop run of Limousin cross bulling heifers sold to a top of £1340.
