Kirkby Stephen Store Lamb Sale

Kirkby Stephen, Faraday Road, Kirkby Stephen, CA17 4QL

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their fortnightly sale of Store lambs on Tuesday when 307 were on offer.

Topping at £117.50 were a pen of seven Texel lambs from Messrs Greig Penrith.

Messrs Capstick, Yew House sold a pen of Cheviot cross lambs to make £97.50.

Mule lambs sold to £97 for a pen from Messrs Green, Hill Farm, Alston.

A pen of Rough Fell store lambs sold to make £70.50 from Messrs Chappelhow, Beckstones.

Trade was once again the dearest seen so far this season, and many more numbers are required to meet strong buyer demand, on a fortnightly basis.
